Cotton Blossom

I sniffed a candle at a store this week that had a picture of an open cotton "blossom." It smelled similar to fresh clean clothes, or laundry detergent... Does the cotton plant really smell like that, or is that smell something they just invented to please our noses?

That "clean linen" smell, the same as tide laundry, etc, is a combination of synthetic heather flowers and synthetic chypre moss (change the proportions and you have the scent of irish spring soap)
It is a scent that has been popular for about thirty years or so - so whoever decided to put that combination together, they have a winner for sure.

I know they have a replacement scent, but it isn't as good. It's called Sea Island Cotton

Bath and Body Works does this quite often. They will take certain scents off the shelves periodically, to make room for new scents. They usually keep the most popular.

But there are certain times of the year when you may still be able to pick up products in that scent. They usually bring back scents they've stopped carring a couple times a year, during the semi-annual sale. You could also speak with someone who works there, and see if they have any idea if you could order it straight from the factory; I did this once to get some stuff in the Happy Daisy line, which has been long gone.

You can also check eBay, and try to catch a deal on some there.

No!
Real 'Cotton Blossoms' have no odor other than a plant smell.
But it is intriguing why they called their scent "Cotton Blossoms".

I tried picking them with a pin,it does work but it really hurts and it doesn't leave any scar.I just need help on picking them but not using products.I use Cetaphil [but only leaves my skin soft] Aveeno[helps a little] Cotton Blossom cream from Bath&body Works but doesn't seem to work.

okay i had the same problem. i used neutrogena oil free wash and that worked really good. Umm i also found a trick in a book that i used and it worked. If u put a little bit of toothpaste on the white head b4 u go to bed and after u wash ur face, it will dry it up and in the morning when u wash ur face it will slowly disappear. Hopefully it will work fot you too.

I normally wear either BCB Girls Star perfume or Bath & Body Works Cotton Blossom but they have discontinued both colognes and I cannot find them anywhere.

You would love Gucci Envy Me, Its better than BCBG GIRLS in my opinion or Jennifer Lopez, Live Luxe.. These cost $$ in the store but you can get them on ebay for cheap...I've bought J.Lo from this seller before and it was 100% percent real
