I leave for Philmont tomorrow @ 8:30 CST. I was packing and started to question my judgement on my shorts.
The current shorts I have are Magellan Brand 30% Nylon 70%Cotton. And Cotton Kills....
So would the Mesh Athletic shorts be a better bet?
I went 5 years ago and took 2 pair of north face shorts with the mesh lining and there were 100% polly, But dont freek-out all will be find what ever you use

just buy mens... for some reason fashion people dictate what us women should be wearing. and most of us stupidly follow. i guess they think that all women want to dress this way and are not really serious about things such as working out for health reasons and not just to look good and be able to fit into those skimpy shorts.

finding shorts like this for a girl can be difficult. Don't be opposed to shopping in the guys dept. they make their shorts longer than they generally do for girls. And don't ask me why but they usually make them more comfortable too!
What type of casual shorts look nice on a man who is 6 foot, average build, but with skinny legs and NO butt!! Not overweight. Broad type shoulders, narrow waist. He is athletic and casual in style. Cotton and comfort.

I have to agree with ....lyeleejoe... and he gives great examples. I would try a few cheaper pairs say target or wal-mart and have him try them on/wear them and you will find a good one. Jean shorts do tend to look better on skinny legs but a nice pair of khakis and a pollo shirt look nice also. But I definitely agree about the dress shoes too....
