Looking at purchasing linen however terms liked combed cotton used and I would like to understand what that means and the importance when purchasing linen for a hotel group.

Combed cotton is an extremely soft version of cotton made by specially treating the cotton fibers before they are spun into yarn. As a general rule, combed cotton is slightly more expensive than conventional cotton. The extremely soft, strong material is ideal for making bed linens and clothing which will be worn against the skin.

I have white %100 combed cotton sateen sheets and a dog that i am dog sitting for started her heat so now there is dried blood all over the sheets. The care tag for the sheets state that they are not to be bleached and I am not sure if I can use color remover on them.
I have already tried reactivating the blood with hydrogen peroxide and have treated them with enzymatic cleaner, in case those two things don't work what else could I do?
Would it be safe to use color remover?

try hand soap. hand wash it. i used it for my cotton sheets and even my mattress. the blood came right out, and some of the stains have been there for a while too. don't put it in the dryer until you tried everything you can to get the stain out. if all else fails, then try taking it to the dry cleaners, they may be able to get it out for you.

Yes, there is a difference. First of all, Egyptian cotton is just cotton that is from Egypt. You can get combed Egyptian cotton sheets. Combed cotton is any cotton that has been combed with a mechanical comb. This gives a flannel sheet like feeling to the cotton without making the sheets hot like flannel sheets.

As for softness of sheets, it all depends on the thread count. Thread count in sheets is measured in square inches. The higher the thread count, the more luxurious the sheets will be. Keep in mind thought that once you go above 400 thread count, the sheets will also be stiffer.

Combed percale cotton sheets with a thread count of 400 are one of the most comfortable sheets to sleep in...

Don't know which sheets to buy. Both sound good.

I LOVE Egyptian cotton. I have several sets and find by rotating my sets, they should last indefinitely. All the lint that is collected in a dryer is your clothing. Little by little, they disintegrate. Hanging them on a clothes line is the best for sheets. I also use ammonia instead of bleach to keep them clean. Bleach can destroy/yellow cotton.
