100 Cotton Socks

My husband works outside & needs warm (thicker) socks. He doesn't like synthetic materials b/c they make his feet sweat.

I'd like to purchase 100% cotton socks for him (online), and preferably made in USA and sold through someone here in the States.

For a made in the USA 100% organic cotton sock try rawganique.com. Keep in mind there really isn't a 100% cotton sock because without elastic/lycra, the sock would not stay up. However for a warm and thick sock I would highly recommend a wool sock.

Wool keeps the sweat and moisture away from the foot and just a little more info on 100% Cotton, cotton socks fail the blister test...

A study at the University of Missouri-Columbia of athletic socks found "... that 100 percent cotton socks were usually the worst especially when a person started to sweat," said Robert Mooney, MU biological engineering student in a press release.

I know i can get it online.. like on ebay or something, but i don't have a credit card, and i prefer to just go to a retailer.. a store to purchase these so please.. does anyone know of any stores that carry all cotton socks - 100% or close to it? thanks for your help everyone

Seems easy but I've combed the internet!! I can find 100% cotton ankle socks or non-cotton knee high length, but none in the magic combination. Preferrably women's.

100% knee highs are not made because they won't stay up. Some spandex or elastic is needed.

I understand that the maximum % of cotton that can be used in socks making is 85%. The remaining 15% will be of synthetic material like Nylon, Poly Propylene, etc.
This is for "Miss Suki". When we ask this question to shopkeepers at the time of buying socks, they mislead us by telling that the cotton socks they sell are 100% cotton. I was under this myth for nearly 10 years. Recently only I came to know about this. Hence I though I can inform others who don't know about this.

It is my philosophy that feet need to
BREATH. Your sox should absorb sweat,
circulate air and be comfortable Ditto:
Your shoes should not ever be completely closed in where no air can
get to your feet--unless it's for a short
time during cold or rain.
They are making polyester sox very
plush and soft right now-and some say
they wick away sweat. I simply don't
believe it. Polyester is spun plastic.
When I wear them my feet get clammy
and ditto polyester underwear.
