Hanes Cotton Shirt

Well, I just use a Hanes Plain White cotton tee shirt, maybe about 5 inches long and 4.5 inches wide. I fill it with certian grasses such as rosemary, etc. I roll it up, and then wrap the outside with some thick sewing thread. I light it up, and I smoke it. Is this safe?

I've smoked lots of herbs in my time and also tobacco cigarettes. Inhaling any smoke is not safe. Some grasses will give you bad reactions - broom flowers landed me in the urgent care. I wouldn't smoke woven cotton.

When I wanted to stop smoking cigarettes, I found my oral fixation satisfied with chewing sticks of licorice (not the candy, sticks you buy in an herbalist's shop). This also reduced my nicotine cravings. At times I blew detergent bubbles as an alternate to smoking.

If you want to smoke, but not tobacco, I'd still roll with papers or leaves instead of woven cotton.

A look at two popular t-shirts - the Hanes Beefy T vs the Gildan G200. Both shirts are looked at new out of the box before and after their first wash.

The thing is I have a Hanes 100% cotton shirt and I had it autographed in marker. Can I wash it without ruining the autographs? If so, how long would I have to wait for the maker ink to set in?

If you have any stains, gently wash that area with an old toothbrush and liquid detergent. Then gently and quickly handwash the whole garment in cold water trying not to soak it too long. Next time, try using a permanent marker.

Can i spray paint a white cotton hanes t-shirt ? Or will it get hard and crack ? Or bleeed when I spray it on or wash it ?

I'm purdy sure you can and i think there might be special paint for clothes. I don't think it will crack. when you use your spray can use a good tip usually the ones that come with the can suck and get clogged.

I don't think using regular paint on a t shirt is a good idea - it probably won't hold up very well in the wash. It might work if you got some fabric paint and put it in a little spritzer bottle and spray painted it that way. It would probably look about the same.

Well I like to sew things and I want to start making my own clothes, like basic cotton t-shirts (hanes) but I have not seen that fabric around. Is there a specific name for it?

it is moderately hard to find. you need to find a fashion fabric store in your area. Jo-anns and other chain stores have limited selection.
you could also buy online. they are all knitted fabrics and there are many websites that sell them you probably want a lightweight jersey knit
try fabric.com
(I would try buying in a store so you know what you are getting and what you want before buying online. you can be surprised by what arrives at your home when you don't feel it in the store)
