Can i wash my blue Egyptian Cotton Sheets with my blue jeans and t-shirts?

It says wash separately on the tag. but i like to wash everything in one load.

will it hurt them to wash them with my blue jeans?

Wash them separately. Most washers have a setting for sheets and towels use that for sheets. Your jeans and t-shirts shouldn't be washed together eihter. They are different material and the buttons on your jeans could cause holes in your other clothes.

Do you make your bed when you get up in the morning (or afternoon or whatever)?

Is it a habit from when you were a child, or just a preference? I can't stand getting into a messy bed, it would bother me all day if I didn't make it.

POLL: Egyptian cotton or Jersey T-Shirt sheets?

I'm with you.
I always make up my bed before I leave...assuming no one is still in it.
A messy bed just reminds me of being sick when I was a kid...and I like to sleep in something warm and tight at night.

what is Silk Modal?

I was in Selfridges looking at £100-200 t-shirts and they are all made from silk modal, instead of cotton or even egyptian cotton.
what is silk modal?

Modal is a bio-based fiber made by spinning reconstituted cellulose from beech trees. It is about 50% more water-absorbent than cotton is. It is designed to dye just like cotton, and is color-fast when washed in warm water. Modal is essentially a variety of rayon.

Textiles made from Modal do not pill, like cotton does, and are resistant to shrinkage and fading. They are smooth and soft, more so than even mercerized cotton, to the point where mineral deposits from hard water, such as lime, do not stick to the fabric surface. Like pure cotton, modal should ideally be ironed after washing.

Scientifically, it is neither a true natural nor a synthetic fiber, as it is made from naturally occurring polymers. Although it is derived from a natural source, it is manufactured in the way that is associated with synthetic fibers. This involves extruding a cellulose solution through a spinneret (which resembles a shower head) and then immersing in an acid bath to form the fibers. The fibers are then drawn out, washed to remove residual chemicals, and cut into staple fibers. These staple fibers are then spun into yarn, which is then woven or knit into the cloth that is used to make garments.

Hope this gives you a better understanding of the fabric!

  • The T-shirt: a Fashion Item in Constant Revolution

As fashion launches itself headfirst into 2007, emerging musical trends - most notably indie rock and new rave - seem to have influenced the t-shirt design industry in a variety of ways. Tops and T-shirts for men found on the fashion highway are so bright, colourful and splashed across with patterns that it’s hard to believe that, at one time, the t-shirt was only available in one colour - white.

The t-shirt has a long history that dates back to the nineteenth century. Primarily developed as a type of underwear, the t-shirt was popularised in European society around the turn of the century. The t-shirt then spread into the United States during World War One, when American soldiers caught sight of the soft undershirts - then made of Egyptian cotton - while the US military sweated in wool uniforms.
