Cotton Youth T-shirt

I got a t-shirt from doing a volleyball camp. They ran out of adult smalls so I grabbed a medium because youth large was too small. But the medium is HUGE! Is there anyway for me to shrink it? :/

It's 50% preshrunk cotton and 50% polyester. Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but I want to wear the shirt xD

Grab your sewing machine and take it in at the seams. Turn shirt inside out decide how much you need to take it in ( 1 or 2 inches on each side should do it Then sew and trim off excess on each side.Viola

It seriously needs to be shrunk more.

I bought a shirt adult small without even trying it on.. BIG MISTAKE. Its too big. I probably need a youth large size.
I have no way of returning it because its from a store too far away.

Keep it mind, it has an image screened on almost the entire front! Its a band t-shirt from Hot Topic.

How can I safely shrink it without damaging the image?

I can't give it away because I have no friends who listen to the same band. I'm not going to donate a brand new shirt to charity when its not like I have money flowing from my fingertips. ._.
*hazel*: Yeah, its that painted-on like stuff. An image screened on the shirt.

That's the point about pre-shrunk. You can't shrink it anymore. If you put it in the dryer on high, it will ruin the image, probably. Scratch it up to experience and give it to someone who can wear it.

Dry it in the dryer on high a few times.

my boyfriend's real into zelda and i wanna get him this shirt. it says it's 100% cotton, and they don't have his size (large). they have small, XL, and Youth Large. if i get him the XL shirt do you think it will shrink down to a large OR maybe too much?

i went to a concert yesterday and they didn't have any youth sizes so i got a men-small. i got them signed and whatnot, but now i wanna shrink them without ruining the signatures. the first one is pre-shrunk 100% cotton [that one doesn't have the signatures], the second one is 50% cotton & 50% polyester and it doesn't say anything about be pre-shrunk [has the signatures]. any help without ruining them?

wash in cold water n then put in xtra hot dryers ...
