Cotton Work Shirt

i was walking to work tonight and had someone throw a egg at me and i was wearing my work shirt and it got all over it.can anyone please help me
thank you all the last anwser is what i was looking for it was what i was thinking but wanted to make sure.

The stain is a protein so soak in a cool solution of biological detergent before washing as normal.

My now boyfriend from the military surprised me with his home coming from over seas. He picked me up from work and i didn't have time to change. He took me to Red Lobster for dinner and some melted butter dripped on my shirt while i was eating lobster. It's been there for a while and i don't know how to get it out. Please help me. I don't want to buy a new shirt for $50.

Dawn dish soap; rub it in then wash off. Or try some Zout.

This morning I spilled my cappuccino all over my nice cotton work shirt. I put it in a bucket of cold water where it will stay until I figure out the best method to use.

First, Lay the stain over a bowl, stretching it out, this way you have the stain only to work with over the bowl. Now, sprinkle some Borax on the stain, (this is found in the laundry section of the supermarket) Now, drizzle the hottest water possible for the fabric (read the label to find this out, may have to use warm water, don't want to damage the fabric) Pour the water/drizzle it right through the stain, working in a circle along the stain as you're pouring. This should take it right out. Launder as usual.

Next time, you can try and blot, NOT rub the stain with some club soda, it usually helps to lift the stain out of the fabric and the salt in it prevents it from staining, this is what works for linen napkins and tablecloths with coffee stains.

If none of this works, I LOVE the Spray and Wash stain stick and use it for everything, it hasn't failed me yet. I usually put it on, then launder as usual and it comes right out! Even old stains this has worked on.

I accidently got pennzoil car oil on my red cotton work shirt at work last week and I didn't realize that it even got on my shirt until I washed it today and saw a stain..... how can I get it out? or can i? Please help! I have to go to work tomorrow

Greased Lightning does the trick for me.

However, no matter what you use, most stains need to be treated before you wash them. If you washed and dried the shirt in the dryer it might be too late cuz you just really set that stain into the fabric.

I don't want to ruin the shirt....

If any polyester material or thread has been used in the shirt, tehn don't do it because those parts will not dye as dark as the cotton. You might end up with a black shirt with grayish or white thread where the the buttons are or the collar area. It doesn't look good at all.
