Cotton Baby T-shirt

she became lethargic, she slept non stop and she didn't go for food or toys or treats or even walks. She is usually hyper and very active and a bit aggressive if not given attention. But with the shirt on, she was a darling. Calm and sleepy... I took the shirt off (after I actually was going to take her to the vet coz I thought she was ill) and she suddenly started playing again like before. Now we are having fun at home putting the shirt on and taking it off and seeing what the effect of it is on my puppy. It's magic: with the shirt on she is like an angel, sweet and cuddly. Take the shirt off and she's a little devil. WHY DO YOU THINK THAT IS???

Umm she is uncomfortable, please stop putting the shirt on the dog unless is is tailor made for a dog.

I'd like to buy some sleep sacks (wearable blankets) for my baby girl (due soon) and am wondering whether I should go with fleece or cotton. We live in a humid and warm climate, but sleep in an air conditioned room. If she wears a footed long sleeve stretchie, wouldn't a fleece sleep sack be too hot? On the other hand, wouldn't cotton be too cooling and not cozy enough? Ourselves, we sleep in T-shirts and with a comforter, but I am not sure what I should do about the baby.

We live in Palm Springs, California so its pretty hot here all the time, but with my husband being an HVAC installer our house is always NICE and air conditioned :P
I tried the fleece but I found my bub got a little too warm and the cotton kept him perfect even in the A/C. I think it just has better breathability so it keeps him perfect temperature. Maybe in december when it gets into the high 50s at night the fleece might do ok, but as for now, I find its just a little too warm.

I have a solid baby blue 100% cotton t-shirt that i love and is super comfortable. And the summer is coming up and it gets like 115 degrees here. Unfortunately i got bleach on it near the colar so it is very noticable. I was wondering if i can use the same Clorox Bleach, that bleached it, to completely turn it to the "new" color. What kind of process do i need to do to? I dont want it tye-died. Thanks!

I've done that many times.

If the top is wash able you can easily bleach a shirt to a different color.

Fill the washer like you normally do. Put only the shirt you want to bleach in. Then add like 3 cups of bleach and let the machine do its magic. You may need to do it a couple times using more bleach each time.

its my favorite T shirt and it is made out of cotton and now the weird backing of the sticker is still on and the sticker is like 6 by 4 inches!!! and its right in the middle too!!!!
please don't say any products like goo gone unless its house hold products like baby oil or rubbing alchohol or something!

We are going to Orlando in the summer and it will be too hot for my cotton wrap. I was wondering if t-shirt like material would be ok. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Make a No-Sew Woven Wrap Minimize
Head to your local fabric store, or the fabric section of a department store. :o) Ask for help if you need it. You need three to five yards (9 to 15 feet) of cloth that meets these criteria:

1. Cotton or mostly cotton (You may also like a very lightweight linen or a very lightweight hemp)
2. Breathable, flexible, soft
3. Washable
4. Is at least 20 inches wide (for a lightweight gauze, 45 inches is fine!) The thinner the cloth, the wider it should be if you plant to do the Strap carry or the Rucksack -- that extra width translates to shoulder padding.
5. Does not have a "wrong" side
6. Has a little diagonal "give"
7. Is neither slippery nor stretchy
8. Has a finished selvage

Look for cotton "gauzes", crinkle cotton, and cotton "weaves". By "gauze", I don't mean the stuff you wrap around an injured ankle. Gauze is fabric-store lingo for somewhat loosely woven cloth -- not extremely loosely woven bandage material! These plain gauzes are perfect for everyday use around the house. Not too gorgeous, maybe, but easily washed and dried, very easy to find and very comfortable. Is crinkle cotton the same as gauze?
Some gauzes are also crinkles. Most crinkles are also gauzes. I specifically use the term crinkle cotton for cotton gauzes which are wrinkled in long longitudinal lines. This makes a lovely drapey effect when worn as a wrap.

Fabric choices for sewn wraps are the same as for no-sew wraps with one exception. Since you will be sewing (or serging) the edges, you can choose woven cloth that has unfinished selvages, fleeces that don't necessarily curl when cut, and cotton knits that don't necessarily curl when cut. PLEASE read the instructions for No-Sew Wraps before proceeding.
