50 Cotton Shirt

I have this light green shirt (which is 50% polyester/50% cotton) and I would like to dye it a burgundy/dark red. Can i dye it and if I can what brand should I use ? Please don't recommend RIT because I looked on the website and it said that their dye wouln't work for shirts 50% or more polyester content.

thats true the dye will not take you will just ruin the shirt. Your better off getting an all cotton shirt because the dye will not take.

I bought a shirt and I need it a little smaller. Any thoughts?

Wash in hot water, dry on a hot setting, and over dry it--keep drying past the time when it is actually dry. Like bake it.

Be advised, sometimes they shrink the opposite of what you are wanting. I have a couple of
shirts that are a lot shorter than they used to be, but are wider!

Scrape off excess with a dull knife. Soak in cold water for 30 minutes. Pretreat remaining stain. Launder using the hottest water appropriate for the fabric. Use chlorine bleach if safe for the fabric. Repeat if necessary.

I am using standard clorox bleach-I don't like the teal color, and am hoping to bleach it white or nearly white, but I don't want to ruin it and make it look tie-dyed. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Soak it in a mixture of bleach and water. Just don't leave it in too long the bleach will start to deteriorate the material after time.

My dryer is broke, any other options?

Soak and wash in hot water, the cotton part should shrink a little, but the polyester won;t shrink. You probably won't notice any difference until after a few washes
