100 Percent Cotton T-shirt

So I have this T-shirt that is 100 percent cotton.
I want to shrink it 1 size, or maybe a little more. (Medium - small)

How do I wash the shirt to make it shrink that much?

Hot water wash ( check for colorfastness first.. if this is your first washing.. you may want to wash it in just warm water, and be sure to use a gentle detergent, you don't want colors to run)
High heat tumble dry. The combination of hot water and agitation, then heat drying will help to "shrink up" the fibers some. BE AWARE that there is a "direction" that fabric will most likely shrink... so you may notice more vertical shrinking, than side to side... that's just how the fabric is and it will be difficult to force. If it goes a little too much in one direction, you can re-wet it immediately, and stretch it out, then lay it flat to dry (re-stretch/tug as it dries if necessary).

Wash it in the hottest tempature your washer will wash it. Then over dry it. It will shrink!

Plz tell me is this right that it is 100% cotton shirt or 99% because i don't think that it is 100% cotton shirts available in colors.

this says only the white is 100 percent cotton, the ash color is 99%cotton and 1% synthetic, the sport grey color is 90% cotton and 10% synthetic fiber.

I just bought a few clothes from www.drjays.com and most of the stuff i got are 100 percent cotton. How would i wash my clothes so it won't loose its colour fast and wont shrink?
can i iron them after they are dry?

If you want to hold on to the color, and keep the color from fading, the first thing you should do is put just plain water in the washing machine, and no soap, and add about 2 cups of vinegar, and just let the clothing sit in it for a couple of hours. The vinegar will help set the color.

After that, wash them in cold water with normal detergent (if they are dark, you might consider buying detergent specifically for dark clothing--it is available, though I cannot remember the name--I use it for our black and other dark items), and then hang them to dry, don't put them in the dryer.

If washed in cold, and never put in the dryer, cotton should not shrink. Colors will fade over time, even when washed in cold, and there's nothing you can do about that. Doing the vinegar soak first will help to better set the colors, however, and help prolong their life.

If you should ever need to remove a stain, you will probably need to wash in warm water. It won't hurt the clothing to do so from time to time, and I would be surprised if there is any shrinkage. Hot water will cause it, but warm should not. Most clothing which shrinks does so in the dryer.
