100 Cotton Uniform Shirt

The last 100% Cotton shirts I purchased all suffer badly from creasing down the front after being worn no matter how well they are ironed. Whereas the company uniform business shirts have 50/ 50 Poly Cotton with no creasing problems whatsoever. Therefore what is the best shirt to get in terms of proffesional appearance.

Most cotton/poly blends these days are of high quality and don't have that "polyester" look to them. For appearance and to save yourself a TON of ironing, go for the blend. Alas, they have yet to make a cotton shirt that doesn't look like 5 miles of bad road after you wear it for a bit.

And how do I do it without making it extremely small? It's a school uniform shirt and it's a small but it's huge on me.

wash it in really hot water then dry it on the highest temperature for a long time

I have 3 Dickies shirts that are too big, there 100% cotton white. It's for school uniform. I tried using to much soap that didn't work. And I put them in hot water and dry them in the dryer on highest heat that didn't seem to work. I put them in a bucket, boiled a pot of water and poured it on the shirts, let them stay there, and then I threw them in the dryer on high for a hour and still nothing. Any help I need a dramatic size decrease.

UH since you have done all that it is probable that
they won't take them back. Most of the Dickie shirts
that are 100% cotton are preshrunk just so they wont
shrink anymore, because most people who buy them
that size need them that size. Give them to an older
brother or a friend, or sell them on Ebay. Because
to get them any smaller means a trip to a tailor or
an altering seamtress. Not worth the money you spent.

I am going crazy researching this. So at my school you can wear any color polo shirt - which is the only choice you have in the otherwise strict dress code and uniform policy. Bright colored polos are always a big deal and people look everywhere. Well I found some beautiful ones, which sounds stupid but I love them, and my mom tells me that we can't buy any because they're 100% cotton. Well, it's egyptian cotton, which I researched and is longer and smoother and from what I gather, stronger. Will it still shrink like normal cotton (which I would appreciate if you could tell me how much normal cotton shrinks too, just for kicks :) ) ?

Or will it shrink less?

I just want people who can tell me an answer, I hate when people reply saying 'I don't know.' It ruins the point of Yahoo Answers.

to get blood out of clothes?

My daughter was severly bleeding yesterrday due to a dog attaick and has blood allover her baseball uniform. The shirt is 100% cotton and the baseball pants are a polyester blend. What can i use to remove the stains?

I hope that your daughter is alright. How tragic.

To remove the dried blood, pour hydrogen peroxide on the stains, can mix just a bit of dishwashing detergent with it. Let soak for about 30 minutes, rinse with cold water.
If there is still blood, mix ammonia with 5 parts of water, let soak for 15 minutes.
Wash uniforms as usual, be sure to air dry instead of using the dryer to prevent setting any blood that does not wash out
