100 Cotton T-shirt

i bought this cotton t-shirt online and it's a tad big on me

That depends of you have the dryer on a hot setting, if you want to shrink it down 2 sizes put it on hot for an hour, if just one size warm for an hour and a half. 100% cotton will shrink much faster than a cotton/polyester blend.DO NOT put in the dryer at all if the t shirt is stretch and contains lycra as it will shrink 4 times down or more.Make sure you read the label firstly.

I bought a 100% cotton tshirt with printing on the front.
It is still alittle big for me, and i would like to shrink it
I have not washed it yet, as iv heard the first wash is important

So far, iv gathered that you Boil it in hot water for 2 mins, hot wash, then hot dryer

Also, is there any risk of uneven shrinking?... ie one part shrunk more than other parts?

If it's 100% cotton it will shrink pretty evenly. Depending on the direction of the stitching it will sometimes shrink more in lenght than in width. Wash it normally, do not boil it as the print on it might either run or peel depending on what the print is made of. It's the dryer you have to use to shrink. Dry the T-Shirt on the hottest cycle your dryer has. It should shrink!

I just bought a black t-shirt with a design. I bought it slightly small but it fits for now. I don't want it to shrink any more so what can I do?
even if i wash in an all cold cycle and air dry it am i guarenteed it won't shirink?

I would wash it in cold water on delicate. Then dry flat. While it is barely damp, put in dryer for 5-10 min. to just delint and soften and de wrinkle.

My uncle bought me an Adult Large normal 100% preshrunk cotton t-shirt. I usually wear Adult Medium so Large is big. Is there anyway to shrink it? I would like to make it a bit smaller but not so small that it becomes an Adult Small or XS. It's blue with some images on the left breast area and on the back(ironed on plastic or something, not ink or sewed on) by the way if that helps any.
Will the iron on melt if I hot wash, dry, and iron it?

wash it in hot water and dry it on high heat.

I have a 100% cotton t shirt and it says to wash in warm water. doesn't warm water shrink 100% cotton clothes ? and if i use cold water what will happen ?

I use cold water for ALL of my clothes. And I either hang dry, or use the very lowest dryer setting. Haven't lost a shirt yet.
