OLYMPIC athlete Liz Yelling officially launched the Bluewater Sweatshop 10k run which takes place on June 13, and we managed to catch her for a speedy chat on her top training advice.

How regularly should you train for a 10k run?

I’d say to train a minimum of two to three times a week, depending on how serious you are. If you’ve never done a 10k run before, then training three times a week would really benefit you and make the race a lot easier, ultimately that’s what training is supposed to do.

How can you integrate training into your day-to-day routine?

You need to be really organised. Plan your training around your lifestyle and decide when you can run. It’s about creating opportunities to run, so that could be early in the morning before your family get up or in the evening after work.

Philadelphia Phillies Official Wordmark Short Sleeve T-Shirt ...

Had this tshirt or a couple of weeks now. I think I have worn it about 5-6 times. After the last wash the Phillies emblem is partially faded off which makes it look like one of those knockoff shirts. The only thing great about this t-shirt is that it is fairly thick and seems to be well made. Just the emblems are not that great.

Just last night, sometime around 10:00 pm, my home team Philadelphia Phillies baseball team WON the World Series!!!

Philadelphia fans were starting to get used to disappointments, because we’ve been unable to win a championship of any kind since 1983 when the 76ers won (basketball team).

Now, with the Phillies winning the World Series, we can celebrate a victory that we will never *ever* forget, and I believe, as a Phillies fan, we appreciate this championship more than anything else at the moment. If forced to make me choose, I’d probably say the 1980 World Series was a little bit better, because that was the very first time the Phillies won the World Series.
