My husband bought me a pink cotton robe and some old lady slippers for xmas, i tried it on in our bedroom just before getting in the shower tonight..after he talked me into trying it on. As soon as I put it on he burst out laughing and said
All you need now is a cigarette hanging out your mouth and some hair rollers and u will look like somebodys mama"
I felt so unsexy, my face went blank... so i went in the bathroom and cried. he came and apologized but i still know thats how he feels. I guess i will never be sexy to him, do u think i overreacted because im not talking to him right now
When someone makes a joke, the correct response is to laugh.

My birthday's in a little over a month and I wanna have a techno "rave" party. I'm working on my song list. Some of them aren't techno (I'd try to be mostly techno though). There's a couple rap songs they play at the school raves that we enjoy dancing too and a few songs that our group listens to a lot that just seemed like they belonged in the group to make the dance have our personal touch. This is what I have:

The old farmer was having a very bad year. All of his crops had been lost.
Fortunately, the peach orchard had done really well. The only way he was going to make it financially was to cut out the middleman and sell the peaches directly to the consumer. So he loaded his pickup with peaches and headed to town.
Just on the outskirts of town he came to a house. So he took a basket of peaches and went up and knocked on the door.
A gorgeous blond in a sheer robe answered the door. In a sexy voice she said, "Hi, Honey, what can I do for you?"
Quite shaken, the old farmer muttered, "I have these here really nice peaches for sale".
The blond, noticing how shaken he was, decided to play a bit. So she opened the top of her robe showing her breasts. She said, "Are those peaches full and firm like these?"
Very shaken, he managed to whisper, "Oh yes, they're really good
peaches."
So she opened the rest of her robe, showing she had on no panties. She teased, "Would they be succulent and delicious like this?"
The old farmer mumbled, and then broke down crying, and said, "Oh yes, they're wonderful peaches."
She said, "Well, honey, why on earth are you crying?"
The old farmer whimpered "Lady, the cut worms ruined my tomato crop and the weevils ate all my cotton and now I think you're gonna screw me out of my peaches."
Oh my! Though the old farmer is visibly shaken, afraid to talk and cried in desperation, he was sure what he was going to do. The blonde knows psychology better, in spite of being a blonde.

I bent my knees a bit, slumping.
I was going to die. I was only fourteen. I’d never kissed a guy properly, I’d never driven a car, and I’d never had children. Every single thing I’d ever planned slipped away in my mind. It was over. I didn’t even have a will.
I pulled out my phone, and clasped the other hand to my side. I dialled in Natsumi’s number, and called. The familiar, soothing ringtone blared like sirens in the silence. A click as Natsumi picked up.
“Hey, Reiko, what are you doing, calling at 10? If my mum catches me on my phone, I’m dead.” She grumbled.
“Nat, you know if anything happens to me I want you to have my watch. You know, the gold and purple one from Venice.” I whispered into the plastic.
“Sure. What’s this all about? You’re not leaving, are you?” she said, calming down.
“Maybe. I just, you know, wanted to tell you that.” I fought to keep my voice normal.
“Are you sure you’re okay? You sound kinda ill.”
“I’m fine-” I coughed, and choked back tears at the same time “-but don’t forget our promise,”
“Never,” she swore vehemently. I don’t even know what ‘vehemently’ means, but it sounds right to describe how she sounded.
“Bye,” I whispered. Tears rolled down my nose. I ended the call, and turned the phone off.
I felt cold. Ice was slipping into my veins, and my knees wouldn’t hold me up much longer. I sank down, and closed my eyes.
*
The next thing I remembered was feeling warmer. Not as warm as I would have liked, but like someone blowing gently across my face. I shivered and sat up. My side ached, and I grasped at it. I was still in my uniform. Why would I be in a hospital in my school uniform? Didn’t they normally take your clothes and give you a scratchy cotton dress to wear? I looked up. I wasn’t in a hospital. Not one I’d ever seen.
The floor was white marble. The walls hung with drapes, shades of deep purple and rich green, with fringes of gold tassels all along the top, suspended by gold railings that twisted like snakes and wove in between the curtains like weeds. The ceiling was vaulted, criss-crossed with wooden beams and hung with chandeliers. The room itself seemed to funnel me inwards to stare down at a chair. The chair was pretty simple, yellowing wicker and cotton cushions sewed with little mirrors that gleamed in the crystal chandelier light. Behind the chair was a door. It could have been from any building anywhere in the world, just completely plain and simple. Its bronze handle twisted, and an old man hobbled through.
“Well, young lady, come here. Quite a misadventure you’ve had,” he wheezed through mostly empty gums. He clutched at a cane in his hands, twisting them repeatedly over a knot in the wood.
I pulled myself reluctantly to my feet and walked over. The stab in my side didn’t hurt now, wherever I was. My footsteps made no noise on the floor, when they should have made a racket in this hall.
As I approached him closer, I could see every wrinkle and crease in his wizened face. It was almost tree-like, or a wood carving of a man’s face. His small body hunched in the chair like a forlorn doll, but his almost toothless smile made the lines at his eyes curve upwards in glee. His short, thin legs stuck over the sides of the chair, miniscule compared to the sturdy legs of the wicker chair. His ragged clothes were out of another century, robes frayed but still bright and bold as daylight.
“Sir, sorry, but what is this place?” I asked, wonder seeping into my voice.
“Why, Reiko, this is the afterlife.” He said warmly.
I was dead. I was dead, gone, deceased, departed, dead. But how could this happen? I was only fourteen! I hadn’t had a fair chance yet! Who was to say I wasn’t going to invent a cure for cancer or something? I was never going to see my family again, not until...
No. I didn’t want to think of that. I couldn’t wish them dead, that would be wrong.
“I’m sorry,” the old man said glumly. He lowered his head, leaving me to myself. Something warm ran across my cheek, and I realized I was crying. It wasn’t fair; I’d been cheated out of my chance, and by my best friend, no less. Why would she do that? Betrayal and disbelief tore at my heart.
It's pretty solid. Good imagery without overdoing it. I'm going to pick at a couple technicalities but take this as a compliment because I think you are ready to advance to a next level:
(1) You have a tendency to string short choppy sentences together and you could combine many of them into longer more complex sentences. Example: "... stare down at a chair. The chair was pretty simple..." Combining those sentences will remove the awkward transition in which you refer to the chair twice in quick succession.
(2) Play around with constructing sentences never using the word 'was'. When we talk, 'was' is an extremely efficient word that helps us decribe things quickly in as few words as possible, so when we continue that habit into writing, we actually rob ourselves of opportunities to use more expansive language. It will seem like a weird thing to do at first, and you'll notice it can take a lot of words and dancing around to avoid 'was' but that exercise forces you to craft your sentences into more poetic arrangement and tempo.
(3) Don't overdo either one of those last two suggestions. If you have not yet completed a work, it's fine to just ignore all technical advice until later. If you are serious about completing something, completing it is more important than technicalities, so just remember the order... Write forward, experiment, explore, expand and develop, complete your work then think about technicalites when it's time to take the next step. (After completing a work, the next step is reworking it for technicalities and fine tuning your style.)
Overall, that's a positive reaction from me. You are doing a lot of things well, and discovering, tuning and finalizing your technicalities and styles might make you quite good.
