Cotton Summer Robe

My son is 9 months old, we are going to egypt next summer which is where my husband is from. Summers there are extremely hot as you probably know, and I want to get my son a galabeya/arab robe/thobe to wear. I plan to get something of a thin cotton and in white preferably, so he can just wear his nappy underneath and not be too hot in fussy babygros etc!

Does anyone know of anywhere I can get some for him?

just buy them from egypt they sell them there everywhere ask ur husbands family maybe they know of good quality stores

Im flying to egypt soon with my baby son who is nine months old. He is a very settled and well behaved baby who eats and sleeps well, I just want to make him as comfortable as possible when we go there, as we are going in the heat of summer.

My husband is Egyptian and is used to the heat, I have been to Egypt but never during the summer, so dont know what to expect and what to pack for my son besides the essentials like milk etc. I was thinking perhaps taking lots of cotton vests for him with the common robe that most Egyptians wear called the galabeya. I thought that a cotton galabeya and vest with his nappy would be better than clothes and fussy babygros.

Has anyone else ever travelled somewhere hot with a baby and if so what did you pack for them?

The weather is perfect these days in Egypt.
During the day it is sunny and warm, in the evening it is cool.
If you go out during the day let him wear a hat. But do not worry at all.
