Good deal. however TC has been used as a marketing ploy for a while now. Anything about 400 TC is generally considered pretty good. After that it’s pretty meaningless as there are ways of upping the TC without improving the quality of the material. 1000 TC should last a while but don’t necessarily expect it to feel satin smooth.
It depends on the weave. A 250 thread count square weave is about equal in quality to a 1000 thread count satin weave. The weave itself accounts has a factor of 4 in it.
But the softness, strength, durability and comes from the quality of the cotton, which is not an easy metric to quantify. The colourfastness and ease of care depends on the printing or dyeing and treatment processes.
