hey well i had these really lame curtains.
so i bought 3 white single bed sheets (i have 3 long windows in my room). bought 3 thin cane poles. folded the sheet around at the top and sewed it. put the pole through and hung over my track curtain runner attatched to the wall and tied it with string. looks good. appart from their so plain and boring! as i want them permenantly shut im thinking of doing some graffiti art on them or something but have no idea what to actually do with out them looking stupid or me ruining them and spending more money i dont have on white sheets
list of things i do have;
black and red spray paint.
rainbow coloured poster paint.
black perminant marker.
asorted feltip pens.
pencils.
red computer ink (used for blood staining of art work).
glitter.
super glue, no more nails, white glue.
hazard tape, masking tape.
scissors.
some old tops and trousers.
blue, black, white and red cotton (sewing thread).
give me ideas and insperation of what i could do on 3 plane white sheets that are gunna be back up as curtains. thank you =)
[btw i have a life im an artist, and an art student]
Don't go overboard.
I think it would be cute if you had it be black but with rainbows on it. Put maybe some white cotton and make clouds for the rainbows. Put some of the glitter onto the rainbow paint while its still wet.
A look at what it takes to fold, spin, and dye large pieces of material (like bed sheets and drapes). In this video, two styles of spin/fold... on ...

i'm including a couple of samples to read below. let me know what u think ot anything 2 nmake the storyline better, etc. thanks so much.
"Angela, have you seen my gold earrings?" no answer. "Angela." "ANGELA," still no answer. "Doped bitch," I spat. I immediately slammed the door. I felt so helpless, and angry. For the 6th time this week my own mother had stolen from me. And every time I asked her about it, she refuse to admit it. Instead she just laid in another world the drug had given her. Continuing to constantly steal from her only daughter to support her out of control drug addiction that reign on her life. After staring at the paint chipped door for minutes at a time, I turned around and faced the hallway. I quickly became nauseated, because I lived in a potential crack house. Trash was far and wide. Dozens of Segrems Gin bottles hanging around, rotten food in the corners, cigarette butts thrown here, paper and used condoms thrown there. Worst of all my mothers crack needles were just scattered around like they were mothballs. A single, salty tear escaped my right eye as I crossed through piles of trash. I was startled when I almost stepped on a huge but skinny, frail roach. Crawling cautiously over piles of junk, that it most likely thought was the typical Brooklyn alley way. Though the traditional way would have been to thrash on it, I couldn’t step on the roach because it was just another creature, trying to survive in a world that didn’t care about it or needed it. Like me. ......
"Thank God," I lightly spoke under my breath, locking the four Master Locks that shielded me from a place I didn’t want to be in. A world that didn’t give a damn about my statistic ass. A so-called mother, who didn’t take the time to realize and wonder wether I was alive or dead. Me and my locks had a history together, we shared the worst the times and more worst of times. But that was another series of stories that weren’t ready to be told yet. 10:00a.m. sunlight was forcing its way through my cotton bed sheets I used as curtains. Amateurs at protecting my eyes from the harsher than harsh reality. Crack heads feigning, young black men pulling triggers, bullets cruising and piercing there way through closed windows, sirens pitching that noise. And, OH GOD THAT NOISE! Babies screaming for their spoiled milk, gun shots ringing out like they were the telephone, babies mamas yelling at they ill-mannered kids and Mr. Jenkins in 4A. Yelling and complaining about his underpaid welfare check. Which was well deserved since he spent all of it on the cheap, local prostitutes around the corner. "WHAT! ONLY TWO HUNDRED AND EIGHTY THREE DOLLARS. THAT DAMN REDNECK, COCK BLOCKING ASS BUSCH!" Apartment life was oh too quiet. My thoughts were interrupted by a soft knock on my door. I opened the door to see a skinny, wrinkle faced Angela. "Have you seen my lighter?," Angela spoke lightly as if she was almost scared. "Isn’t it’s a little to early in the morning to be getting high?" " Storm don’t patronize me, I...." I didn’t even want to hear her pathetic voice, so I slammed the paint-chipped door in her face. I exhaled deeply relieving myself of the pain that I felt for my so-called mother.....
Yo what’s good Storm, you early today." "Well you know what the home life is like" "Yeah, Yo you wouldn’t believe the most crazy shit that’s got the hood buzzing." "Damn Trisha, you gossiping already? It ain’t even 12:00 yet." Everyday, at the same time on time, my best friend Trisha was the first to tell me the who, what, when, where and why around the hood. She was like my personal CNN reporter. Sporting gigantic doorknocker earrings that complemented her thick New York accent. "Yo, Storm you know its my 1 out of three jobs." "Except your not getting paid for the hours you run your mouth," I spoke like a true smart ass. " Thanks for letting me know," Trisha said sarcastically. "Its my 1 out of three jobs you know?" I replied sarcastically laughing. "Whatever, but Tony is in Trisha’s local hot seat this morning," she was just glowing with eagerness to tell me. "Really, what happened I was just with him yesterday at McDonald’s." Trisha’s right eye brow lifted with curiosity and I knew it was only a matter of time before she grilled me with questions about a romance that me nor Tony never shared, but she continued with her breaking new

I can't sleep...the thought of the monster is keeping me up.
My parents constantly tell me that there are no such things as monsters.
Clearly they don't know this one.
He comes late at night, consumes my mind, hypnotizes me.
He makes me think that he's the only thing I need to survive.
I managed to fall asleep for about an hour, but I woke to the rustling of my purple Egyptian cotton sheets and the creaking of my bed.
I could feel my heart beat, and with each one came that single thought,
“Why me?”
“Come on,” he said,
“You're going to love this.”
---
i know its not very good, i just wrote it in about 10 minutes.
do you have any suggestions on how to improve it?
also i was thinking about taking the first part out,
"I cant sleep" to "I need to survive"
im not sure, though.
all feedback it welcome.
thank you.
for the 2nd paragraph::
I managed to fall asleep for about an hour, but I woke up to the rustling of my purple Egyptian cotton sheets and the creaking of my bed.
He's here.
I could feel my heart beating, and with each one came that single thought,
"Why me?"
A tear slowly trickled down my cheek.
"Come on," he said,
"You're going to love this."
Omg! I thought this really happened to you ^^ It makes the reader want to read it more and I think this is an EXCELLENT story
i got an A on this piece. i want to edit it so i can put it into my english portfolio. any ideas?

THE MONSTER
I can't sleep...the thought of the monster is keeping me awake.
My parents constantly tell me that there are no such things as monsters.
Clearly they don't know THIS one.
He comes to me late at night, hypnotizes me, consumes my mind.
I manage to fall asleep for about an hour, but then I wake to the rusting of my purple Egyptian cotton sheets and the creaking of my bed.
He's here.
I can feel my heart beating, and with each one comes the single thought,
"Why me?"
A tear slowly trickles down my cheek.
"Come on," he says,
"You're going to love this."
I like this. But it can be even better.
Although it's already short, I'm seeing a few unnecessary words, verbs which may not be the best choice because you felt an additional adverb was necessary, and some filtering. (More on that in a second.)
This very short piece includes adverbs constantly, clearly, and slowly. Don't you think 'trickles' implies the slowly part? Seek verbs which don't require further description or elaboration.
Consider that "My parents constantly tell me that there are no such things as monsters" could be "My parents insist there are no monsters," slashing almost half the words without a loss of content. Likewise, "I can feel my heart beating, and with each one comes the single thought..." could be trimmed to "With each heartbeat comes one thought..." which trims more than half.
If you're trying to keep it at 100 words, you've just freed up quite a few. Almost every line offers similar potential. Saving five words here, three there, eight somewhere else gives you room to expand while staying within the flash range.
Here's a one-pass edit removing words:
I can't sleep...[the thought of] the monster is keeping me awake.
My parents [constantly tell me that] [^insist] there are no [such things as] monsters.
[Clearly] they don't know THIS one.
He comes [to me] late at night, hypnotizes me, consumes my mind.
I [manage to fall a]sleep for [about] an hour, but [then I] wake to the rusting [rustling--proofreading matters] of my purple Egyptian cotton sheets [whoa--Egyptian cotton is prized for its softness and should not rustle] and the creaking [of my] bed.
He's here.
[I can feel] my heart beating, and with each one comes the single thought, [Shorten this, remove filtering, and don't break for a separate paragraph here]
"Why me?" [or here]
A tear [slowly] trickles down [my cheek].
"Come on," he says, [or here]
"You're going to love this."
BTW, filtering is placing unnecessary distance between your POV character and the reader. It often involves words used to report: felt, heard, smelled, wondered, saw, and so on. You want to remove phrases like "I can feel" and cut directly to what it felt, providing immediacy to the reader.
Please remember that I do think this is good--just not perfect. Thanks for sharing it here.

Bought this in EMart for 46,000 plus tax. Solid Light Blue. Washed it and put it up to dry, the school got me a bigger bed literally before I could even use this (same day I washed it). [Thanks for the heads up, school people!! Now that I washed it, I can't return it! I could have waited one more day to wash it, but I gave up on the new bed idea.] Nonetheless, good deal: $25,000 Haeundae. My loss ;(
