Cotton Polyester Bed

I know it's not very cool, but I prefer cotton/polyester bed sheets to all cotton. Only problem--the blends all seem to be inexpensive sheets in boring solid colors or timid floral patterns. Do any of the high end linen manufacturers make sheets in cotton/poly?

I have been happy with Anna's Linens, I hope you have a store in your area, but they do have an on-line store. Stroud's should also have some cotton/poly blend sheet sets.

you will be able, once dried, to pull the polish off, but the color will remain because the cotton will have set it in, no matter the color,

Presumably I should tumble dry them either?

They can be washed together, wash warm, tumble dry medium. Your cotton is seriously tough stuff. The poly is also tough, but heat over time will degrade and make it fade and feel yucky where cotton will just get softer.

Pre-treat the stain with 50/50 water peroxide for 15 minutes. Wash in COLD water if it is a 50% cotton blend the cotton could shrink UNLESS the label says warm is ok. Rinse with liquid fabric softener if you have it.

PARTIALLY dry it for about 20 minutes so it is still damp then continue to line dry..Fluff several times while drying and throw a few clean tennis balls or sneakers in the dryer in pillow cases. This will help fluff it. It will take a while to dry, put it near a heat vent and keep turning it. It may not be dry tonight.

And I'm not asking about the olive oil hahahahahaha.
It may take more then 1 try to get the stain out but that should get it out....If it's white increase the time next wash.

I bought a bed skirt online that was supposed to be a pale blue and white stripe, but is actually navy blue and dark beige. I can't return it, so I'm wondering if there's any way to lighten the colour. I'm a little reluctant to try bleach, as I don't know what that will do to the fabric. It's 50/50 cotton and polyester, and I'm open to suggestions. Thank you.
Thanks for all your help with this problem. I decide to try dye remover, which didn't work even when I used twice the recommended amount, then i decide to try bleach, and even 2 cups of bleach in a bucket of water didn't do anything. The tag clearly says 50% cotton and 50% poly, so this one of the two should have had some effect. This thing is indestructible!

You can try bleach or a color remover, but chances are you're just going to turn it another upleasant color or two, depending on how the polyester is distributed in the fabric. Polyester does not bleach well by home methods.

Could you live with it if you overdyed it navy?

The other possibility is to use an opaque but light bodied fabric paint... though that will make the fabric stiff.
