I am trying to find a 100% cotton Jersey knit sheet set. The brand is called "Life @ Home". I stayed at a place that had them on the bed and they were AWSOME! I have tried others, but they are not the same. I have searched everywhere and can not find them. Does anyone know where I can buy these?

What's with the sateen? I live in FL, is that going to be warm? I don't need warm. Please advise of what is considered "good" when it comes to sheets for the bed. It has to be cotton though. Any experiences with egyptian cotton? I saw some other ones there that read egyptian cotton.

It has been said here, but the lower the count, the ROUGHER the material is. The count refers to the numbers of lines per inch as it is woven. A 200 count for a bedsheet would leave most people feeling like they were sleeping on course wool. I personally wait till they go on sale and get nothing less than 400. 800 to 1000 feels like silk and is much more expensive. Sateen is a reference to the look and feel and is a good thing to have.

I have done my research but I am still "iffy" about a few sites. I don't want to spend $100+ on bed sheets and then end up with a crappy product. I have looked at Linens & Things and Anippe.com but I'm not sure on the quality. Please help! Thanks!

My advice to you is not to buy this type of item online. How would you know what you are getting if you can't touch and feel the item? Photographs can easily lie. The camera doesn't always see what the naked eye would see. This is why I rarely buy clothes and shoes online, unless it's standard sandals or something.

The quality of Linens and Things is pretty true to what they say, or if you buy from one the well established department store websites like Neiman Marcus, or Nordstrom etc.

I want to buy some new sheets for my bed, and I want them to be VERY good. I don't which sheet is better Egyptian cotton or Sateen. I found 3 different sheet sets and don't know wich is better:

1. Luxury Sateen 1200 tc Combed Cotton Sheet Set $66.99

2. 1000 Thread Count Solid Egyptian Cotton Sheet Set. $99.99

3. 1000 Thread Count Egyptian Cotton Sheet Set. $149.99

What is the difference in these 3 different sheet sets. and which is a better sheet/deal? thank you in advance

You must be thinking Satin. Sateen is different. Sateen IS cotton, it's just the type of weave. When you are looking for fine sheets you want Egyptian Cotton. Then what type of feel are you looking for? SATEEN is a smoother silkier feel; PERCALE is a crisper cooler sheet. The stuff that you listed is NOT good sheeting. If you want a 1000 thread count sheet set you will be looking to pay around $500-$1000. The ones you're looking at probably feel like cardboard! - Thread count is the amount of threads woven per square inch and should generally be 1-ply. A lot of companies market their product as 1000 thread count but it can be several plys, causing the sheets to feel thicker! Keep in mind that it will not breathe and be very hot in the summer. I would highly advise AGAINST buying the sheeting that you saw. Put it this way, if you buy FINE LINENS at a 200 thread count...it will last you longer then buying cheap 1000 thread count sheets. Sheets are an investment, if you buy good ones they will last you for over 15 years. You should have 3 sets of sheets-1 on the bed; 1 in the wash; and 1 in the drawer. Make sure you care for them properly too! Machine wash cold with maximum water. Only wash the flat sheet and cases in the first load, then wash the fitted by itself. If you wash it all together, everything will get wraped in the fitted sheet and become a wrinkly mess. Dry them on LOW heat. Make sure you're home to keep an eye on it. DONT overdry because you will fry the natural fibers.
