Cotton Bed Pad

I just bought a memory foam pad yesterday for my bed. My mattress is memory foam but it's a little too firm for my liking, so I figured this would make it softer. Last night I slept on the new foam with my original thick cotton mattress pad on top and I don't really think I got the full effects of the foam because of it. So just now I removed the cotton mattress pad and just put my bed sheet over the foam. The problem is you can see through the sheet and see the foam and the holes it has for the temperature. It just doesn't look right. Is it supposed to be like that or should I buy a very thin pad to put on top of the foam? I'm so confused! What is the correct way to put a foam mattress pad on? Right now I just have:

Mattress
Foam Pad
Bed Sheet Over Foam
Then my normal sheet, blanket and duvet cover.

yes i would try a very thin pad ontop and see how you like it.

you can also call the place you got the bed and ask for advice :) they will know what 2 do

You can get the quality and the desired fabric/down content of your bedding at a variety of places. A simple google search will provide you with dozens upon dozens of hits for the bedding you seek.

Now, to find it in a mid 1920's style may be challenging. In the mid 1920's bedding was not so much a decorative accessory as a necessity and therefore not much design went into duvet covers or the patterns of sheeting for bedding.

Try to find a solid color you like and then accessorize with decorative pillows and other period decor in your lighting, draperies and furniture. Or, you could find a seamstress to make you a duvet cover with decorative fabric on the top and sheeting on the bottom.

"MASCULINE typs" is the reason why i put it here. not trying to sound like a pig but women seem to notice blankets more than guys. a guy is a sheets, who cares witch 1s as long as they dont cost much and are comfertable, and a warm sleeping bag on top with pillows. but women put more attention into what they have on their beds. also i want to know what a woman thinks more than a guy

100% cotton means a hang of a lot of ironing. Stay away!!!!!! 100% wool can't be dried in a tumble drier.
I prefer easy iron or crease resistant. I do like a goose down duvet but make sure the fabric covering is thick enough to stop little feathers poking into you.
As for patterns and colours - have a look at the various shops and see what is on offer.

I wear an extra long pad but it doesn't seem to keep it from getting on the bed! help! I often wear jeans if not jeans cotton pants.

If u sleep for less than 8 hours, tampons are fine. For more than that, use a menstrual cups. If u like me, prefer pads, wear tight but stretchy underwear to hold the pad in place, and get very absorben tones liek always infinity overnight, always maximum protection, or kotex or always overnight maxis. u may want 2 put a pantiliner in the back if it leaks over the edge of the pad in the back. also, if u really cant figure any thing else, put a dark colored towel under u while u sleep. goood luck

hey..i had nail polish on a cotton pad and i left it on the bed post..now i have a big circle light spot!!! were renting the place were staying in..so the furniture isnt ours..my mom cant know that i messed it up..shell kill me..
i have to fix it..fast?! any ideas??

you can try a wood cleaner i think its called old Fashion or something like that its really dark brown wood cleaner should be able to find it at grocery store or hardware store if that don't work then you will have to sand it but you will have to sand the whole thing because if you try to stain that one spot it will look different than the rest if you can match the color right you might not have to sand whole thing but with age and use or if you smoke the wood changes to un natural colors so it might be hard to match
