Black Cotton Bed

I want satin sheets & a cotton comforter. Should I get them in white or black? I wouldn't stain the white, & lint wouldn't show up on black.
Or maybe recommend another color? Or nice combo

I'd go light brown/tan whatever you want to call it or do the white. I'm assuming you want a solid color. The thing that I don't like about black things is spiders like them lol.

I want to do a splatter design on my bed comforter (down, i think cotton or microfiber?) and how would i go about making the dye and having it be permanent? I want to either do ablack splatter on white sheet or white splatter on black sheet. Thanks!

White on black would be easy with bleach and certainly permanent!

My mom is dog sitting for me and she just called to say one of my chihuahuas chewed up a black in pen on her bed. She has a cram and pink cotton quilt and she's soaked it with no result.... She's never going to dog sit again.... any advice will do!

have her try a cup of baking soda in the washer. let it soak there for a while and then add one more cup of baking soda before she starts her washer. that should work. if not then try oxy clean. if that doesn't work either, im all out of ideas for now.

However, it's cotton filled. I prefer poofy, big comforters so I'm worried this won't work, but you can't tell from the picture. So which is better, polyester filled, or cotton filled? Down is just way too expensive for my budget.

Washing and drying polyester filled comforters and duvets is so much simpler than trying it with cotton filled. Cotton fills with water in the washing machine and the agitator makes the weight work against itself, which causes wear and tear on your machine and the comforter. Then you need to dry it which takes longer, which uses more energy. Of course, you aren't doing it every day, so that is a consideration energy wise.

On the other hand, the polyester filling is like water off of a duck's back. It doesn't hold water like cotton does and it washes with less wear on the comforter. Plus you lose a lot of the moisture in the spin cycle because it is not absorbent like cotton is. And it lets the rest of the moisture free in the dryer--but you must be careful not to over heat.

I dont have a whole lot of money but im tired of looking at my room, i've got red cotton sheets, and a black and grey comforter on my bed.....a blue rug and white walls with beige trimming, a blue recliner, i dont know what i should put in here i haven't had a whole lot of experience designing, i dont know what would look good and make it more welcoming. Please help.

1 Paint the walls - cheap and easy.
2. Lighting always makes a room more comfy and appealing. Ikea has a lot of neat lighting sources, or go to this website to learn how to make inexpensive lighting: http://www.curbly.com/LittlePDXhouse/pos ts/1086-Really-inexpensive-lighting Even Christmas lights can look cute!
3. Depending on the rug, you may be able to bleach it and dye it another color to match the red/black/gray. RIT dye is inexpensive and you can pick it up at the grocery store.
4. Art on the walls. Do it yourself (splash red, gray and black on some thick paper - voila! Modern art, play around with it, its fun) or hang pictures. One easy, cheap and fun way to display photos is get a long piece of yarn, beading wire, or anything like that, get some paperclips, clothes pins (paint them!) or cute clips and clip them to the yarn/wire! I think the red/black/gray is a great color scheme and you should work around that. Go to some DIY sites, watch a little HGTV (or go to their website!) for inspiration. Hope this helped!
