Many organic bedding sets have no print on them, which is a little too boring for me. I think Coyuchi baby prints are ugly. The Pixel Piece print is cute but it is too bright. I want a soft color. The closest I have found is the Nature's Purest (Hug Me) Collection found in Babies R Us website. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp ?productId=2671050 Maybe someone can check the link and get an idea of what I want. And if I see a fitted crib sheet with a nice print, they usually don't have a whole crib or nursery set (If at the least, I would like to have the bumber, fitted sheet, and blanket all matching). The Nature's Purest collection is fine, but I'm the type of person that likes to have options, not have to choose by default. I commend the "organic" companies for trying at least, but it's not that hard. I can do with out the pink and blues. Actually I prefer the natural colors cotton makes; soft browns, yellows, and greens. Hopefully someone has an answer. Thanks

if you cant find full sets you like, maybe you could do something like choose a color scheme... I think the soft browns and greens make a great combination... and just have lots of solids that coordinate in your color palette... then just decorate the room with other things to make it more colorful or if you like monkeys or bears...

Recently I bought a set of nice cotton sateen sheets, with a 410 thread count, at a good department store. I washed them before first use. About the third night I slept on them on the bed, I noticed these bumps on the bottom sheet. By the end of the week, when it was time to change them, I see they have pilled quite a bit, where I slept on them. The other side of the bed, where nobody slept this week they are as new.
Why do they do this, and what can I do about it?
cheap. I once bought 300-thread count sheets at Bed, Bath & Beyond and they pilled badly. I took them back and got another set and the same thing happened. I took them back again and then spent about $20 for the next higher-priced sheets and they are fine. But if they pill on you - take them back! Also, since these were king-size, they were the only thing in the machine when I washed and dried them. And they pilled on both sides -- where I slept and where my husband slept. So the clothing didn't seem to matter.
if it's a two ply, then it's really 205 thread count.

so last night I was painting my nails and stupid me had the bottle of nail polish sitting on my bed and it fell over and some of it spilled onto my comforter. I went out into my kitchen and got the sponge and put a little soap and water on it and tried to get it out. it didn't work. my bed set is really expensive, it's tommy hilfiger so if anyone knows how to get nail polish off a comforter (I'm pretty sure it's cotton) help me please!!!!! if color matters, the nail polish was a dark pinkish-reddish color by essie.
thank you!!!!!!!
you cant use acetone nail polish remover on fabrics...
i went on the goo gone website, did the live chat thing and they told me that goo gone WILL NOT break the bonds of nail polish :/
Try goo-gone or a no acetone polish remover.

"The hardened detective glanced at his rookie partner and mused that who ever had coined the term “white as sheet” had never envisioned a bed accessorized with a set of Hazelnut, 500-count Egyptian cotton linens from Ralph Lauren complimented by matching shams and a duvet cover nor the dismembered body of its current occupant."
Apparently there is something wrong with it, and I need to re-write it. Problem is, I don't even understand the quote. Can someone help me?
Well, I see two spelling errors:
whoever instead of who ever - complemented instead of complimented
It's a long sentence but not a "run-on" sentence, so I don't see where it could be broken into two or more sentences. I think I might have used "or" instead of nor.
The sentence is describing a crime scene with a dismembered body in a bed that had been equipped with stylish bed linens. The phrase "white as a sheet" is one way to describe someone who is very frightened, so terrified that color drains out of their face.
In August 2008 I was given a set of sheets (100% cotton; 100% algodon). After having them on my bed for about 1 1/2 weeks, I noticed I started coughing. Not realizing that it might be the sheets, a month went by and I start having asthma-like symptoms. I would have numerous coughing spells through out the day and wake up out of a dead sleep gasping for air to the point of becoming seriously nauseated. I finally took the sheet off my bed and my symptoms were gone just as fast as they occurred. A couple months later I tried them again just to see if that's what it was. Same thing happened again. A week ago I decided to purchase all new bedding. I came home threw them in the washer and when they finished I noticed they were made of......... you guessed it.......... 100% cotton; 100% algodon. It's now been a week and I just started coughing again. Cotton and algodon are basically the same fibers, right? And while I know I'm NOT allergic to 100% cotton, is there a possibility I could be allergic to 100% algodon?
Sorry for all the details.
algodon is the spanish word for cotton
