100 Cotton Crib Bedding

for it to be soft? 100% cotton or cotton with polyester and what is thread count, how much should it be? I found one that was a plush comforter from georges baby at walmart today, i liked the material of the comforter, it was veryyy soft but i did not like the design at all!! I am looking for something with characters and more fun. I liked this one loony toones one too but again the material sucked. Any suggestions people?

First of all, you wouldn't be using a fluffy comforter anyway. It is a suffocation hazard. I'm a quilter, so I get it.

I find that 100% cotton or 75/25 to be the best choices for sheets year around. 50/50 is uncomfortable for me, so I don't buy it period. It is more important that the sheet fit snugly and that it goes around the bottom of the mattress adequately so the baby cannot pull it up (there have been a handful of strangulation due to too short crib sheets).

I am making my own bed sheets for baby. I want a jungle theme and they discontinued the little animals I really liked (I was pregnant 3 years ago, but miscarried). I have no intention of paying $25 for a crib sheet that I can make for less than $8.

Ok, so I am looking for a crib bedding set for my daughter. I am looking for elegant, victorian almost. I love eyelet, lace, and what not. I like soft colors. I'm really not into the bright bold colors. The issue I'm having is that I can't find any that are 100% cotton. Not even the sheet is. I can understand the dust ruffle not being 100% cotton, but I would like the bumper and sheet at least to be. Any suggestions?
Oh, the sheet set that I wanted that was at babies r us is no longer being sold and the other ones are in the 300 dollar range...oi. I know. I am picky. :-)

My son has a heart defect and he sweats alot when he sleeps so I am constantly changing his bedding even in the middle of the night.I have a fleece blanket and a cotton blanket between the mattress and the sheet for a little more comfort for him but he sweats so bad that it goes right through and soaks the mattress!!Should I remove the fleece and stick with 100% cotton or is there some other kind of fitted sheet or something else I can put down to absorb some of the wetness?
I make sure he is never over dressed and does not have too many blakets on him.
i do have a waterproof matress,it gets wet,on the surface,thank you so far for the answers,first time mom and all never thought of a towel or water proof sheet!Thank you

Make sure there are layers of cotton between him and that mattress. The mattress is vinyl and won't breathe... the fleece blanket is also synthetic and won't breathe... ANYTHING that isn't cotton would go, if it was me. Even the sheets are sometimes now in cotton/poly blends. Avoid those, too.

Stick with all cotton and you should see some improvement.

Not sure what category should i put this question under so I just went with what they suggested :-)

you know that baby blanket material? its called cuddle bubble material and its really really soft and you can just buy some of that and sew it into the underside of your bedding and i did that with my daughter and she loves it and its really soft. hope this helped!!
